Loneliness is the pain of separation felt not because we merely lack human connection or social interaction, but rather because a much greater spiritual reality exists; that our sin has separated us from God. Our loneliness then isn’t simply an indication that we need to “get out more”, but it is God’s megaphoned message to our soul that our actual need is, and has always been, Jesus and it is calling us to the One who fills all in all.
